I really tried my best to take photos with everyone who stopped by and supported me at Florida Supercon @floridasupercon , but there were definitely moments where I got overwhelmed and completely…forgot. I did manage to take some though, so if you see yourself in these photos, please tag yourself!

If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I love giving my full, undivided attention to people, my art, every order I pack, and every conversation I have. Meeting so many of you felt no different!

These photos mean a lot to me. They’re physical reminders that dreams really do come true, even for a little Cuban bby like myself with absolutely nothing to her name with no support from her family because no one believed in her (crybaby status). For someone who spent years doubting herself, hiding behind a screen, convincing herself she wasn’t good enough, and shrinking away from being her authentic self.

One day, when I’m a little more gray (or let’s be honest… gray-er ), I’ll look back at these and smile, thinking, “Yeah… I did that.” And hopefully they’ll remind someone else, with my same background, that they can chase their dreams too.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was meeting so many people who recognized my work from Tate’s @tatescomics , Etsy, or online and told me they didn’t think I was a real person! I promise, I’m real! I just tend to live in the shadows most of the time.

Conventions have given me something I never knew I needed, the chance to genuinely connect with the people who have supported my art for years! That is something I’ll NEVA take for granted, and I am so, so grateful for every single one of you.
