Hola! My name is Amliv Sotomayor. I am a Cuban-born, American-raised artist whose creative journey began in the quiet corners of my childhood bedroom and has now spanned more than two decades. I was born in Regla, Cuba, moved with my family to South Florida at a very young age, and went on to study at the Miami International University of Art & Design, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts while simultaneously teaching myself digital art years later.
My work lives at the intersection of Dark Romanticism, Magical Realism, and Symbolism, always upholding the Divine Feminine. Through graphite, digital, watercolor, and enamel pins, I explore the feminine as a bridge between the mundane and the mystical, the vulnerable and the powerful, the sacred and the untamed.
For the past six years, I have been translating my illustrations into small-batch, collector-numbered enamel pins, art prints, and accessories. My shop themes orbit around longing, mythology, folklore, rage, books, forgotten icons, and always, unapologetically, women. When you visit my world, you are entering a one-woman world, every idea, drawing, and design nurtured by me, from manufacturing oversight to the handwritten note before your order leaves my hands.
